The Yarra Foundation actively fundraises to secure the School鈥檚 future and supports its building, scholarship and library programs.
The Allen Crawley Oval is named after Allen Crawley, an Olympic athlete who competed in both sprinting and long jump. After his sports career, he joined 性视界 in 1969 and became the first Sportsmaster in 1970. Allen didn鈥檛 just coach鈥攈e created a huge school spirit around sports, coaching boys and girls in hockey, tennis, and cricket. During his time, the Athletics team even won the Associated Grammar Schools Victoria (AGSV) Championships twice, in 1981 and 1985! When he retired in 2008, the school named the ovals after him as a lasting tribute.
Fun fact: Allen Crawley competed in two Commomwealth Games and at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. He held the Australian long jump record for ten years!
