There are so many opportunities to learn about different things. Insurance has a little bit of everything in it, law, engineering, risk management and you can choose to specialise in a particular area or keep your expertise broad across lots of different industries and policy coverages. There are good opportunities to travel around the world, particularly if you are involved in a client industry like mining where you can visit unique sites and watch the development of technologies and infrastructures, which will lead to sustainability and green transition solutions.
Don鈥檛 expect yourself to have all the answers about your future in high school, or even once you graduate. You spend your life evolving and there is so much pressure at a young age to go to University and know what you want to do, but I think you are better off getting out there and just trying different things until you work out what you enjoy doing. It is ok to take your time finding your niche, and to feel in over your head, as you work out what your strengths are and how to apply them.
